Jumping onto a cloud of faith.

It was the last day of the Natl Jr. Championships and also a fruitful experience for me in my high jump debut. First I learned what will roughly happen during the competition, those procedures and then I got to know three other jumpers ! One from CJC and two other from ACJC. Till today I still won't say ACJC guys are guai lan ppl, because every one I've seen have good attitude.
Anyway I came in sixth. But in other words though, I'm the lousiest jumper haha... Yep. Only six of us went for the event early in the morning.
It was really an eye-opener for me because I had the chance to witness the "famous" Mike Loh attempt 2.02m though having three futile tries. The way he participated in e competition is damn damn damn dao. Q mark was 1.50m and he passed/skipped every height till 1.89m before clearing it on 2nd attempt. Next he requested for 2.02m and then it's over. I want to be like that ex-Rafflesian ! I cleared 1.50 and 1.55 on first attempt and failed both chances on 1.60m. The curve portion of my run-up was on a damp ground which didn't really gave me the courage to accelerate towards the bar.

I will practise my double arm swing in future trainings and in the meantime try to achieve better results with my old technique.



Strictly speaking, I'm the only JJCian to make it into the final 8 ! CHin hong couldn't qualify and Darren was 10th. Hehe...I know my placing isn't rightfully top 8, but just to make myself happy marh.. haha... I think my biggest disadvantage is not having an actual coach. I'll try seeking WINGS club and SWIFT club out for trainings if they accept me but chances are low.
And the SG Sports Sch secured a top 3 placing in nearly every event they took part in. They're supposed to be the best, so nothing surprising to mention about.
If there is one thing Gombak Stadium lacks, that is water cooler. The nearest vending machine is situated in the mrt station and I was forced to drink from the toilet's basin tap.

My eyes were on Michelle Sng almost all the time this afternoon because she pretty chio and has sexy long legs. Plus, she's a legendary high jumper in sg. She is on her way to breaking the singapore national women's high jump record. Along with her who came to the meet was Poh Seng Song whom Singapore credited him for running past the finishing line to win the 4x100m bronze placing in the last SEA games.
