It felt great giving her the present on Friday evening of Nov 7. A sense of accomplishment for a man much more than donating blood (which i did a week ago
).
A month ago I had asked her when was her birthday. Vaguely but truly, it was Nov 10. That evening was humid and warm as I waited for her at the control station in Clementi. She was late but it didn't matter to me at all. I was more than willing to wait, because in return I met a stunning picture-perfect girl who would look ordinary from far. No more glasses, and no more braces which was a huge surprise for me. We talked a little before I laid the item of the day on her hands.

The whole "present" thing was a roller coaster ride of feelings. First I decided to make a present. A swamp of setbacks but I had time on my side. Then next was how to get her to meet me. Over a meal or just meet together. Last was what do I say to her when I finally see her? I haven't seen her for 3 years. I guessed I turned out really okay in the end.

Like how Edmund puts it, "Way to go man !"
