"Okayyy, I think, you all can stop for today already. The three of you...", the employer said to the 3 Indians at work today. The other 2 Chinese guys and me thought he'll reveal to them after work because he told us that. It will not affect the working rate in that way... But they really pushed the "Heck care. Anyhow do la" button and it went over the limit. The whole time they were talking amongst themselves and they're not quite "auto" in assisting the constant flow of the goods. One of them was supposed to transfer the boxes I've packed to a loading palette but he'll just let them pile up to 10 over before touching one of them. I think I may need to give them 2 more lifetimes before they'll offer to assist me in my work when they'll free on their hands. That's not all. There's a tea break time in the afternoon. They will relax in the workshop during the break and when time's up, one of them likes to go off for a long time and then comes back with drinks and food. WTF? Thank God for ending the "tolerance" test for me today.
Although it was quite tiring in the first 2 days, I felt alright with today's working speed even though we had a new record of goods checking.
1 bad thing happened after work. We were all waiting outside the gates for the company bus. There was that family of stray dogs again. Me and Terence were chit-chatting about dogs and stuff then there was a sudden scream for help. No, not by humans. By the dogs. A Toyota Wish ran over of the 2 puppies on the road. With human-like instinct, the 2 parent dogs chased the fleeing car but it was too fast for them. They went back to tend to the crippled puppy who managed its way back to the road side. Some container drivers who were present went across the road to take a look, even helping to place the puppy to the walking pavement. Sigh, life just isn't fair for all lives, but God always is.
1 fun thing. I brought home some budding seeds from a plant. My sisters used to put them between pages of a book and they will grow. It's quite rare to find this plant growing around anywhere. I count myself lucky in getting it.
